About Library
The Knowledge & Learning Resource Centre acts as a resource hub of the college and renders information services to its users. The state of art facility of the centre gives a good ambience for self learning. The centre builds resources in Arts, Commerce, Social Work and Computer Application as a core area, in different formats to tune with institutional information needs.
The total collection of the centre is 25000 plus printed volumes and an extensive range of high quality electronic resources. The automated services are accessible on the Campus through library web pages. The web pages provides comprehensive information about library resources and services. The links to electronic resources that we subscribe are provided for the benefit of staff and students. The knowledge centre is constantly involved in selecting and giving links to web resources available freely on the web which enables users to get updated with latest information. The role of the centre is to provide access to the information resources required by members of the college for research, learning and teaching.
There is a wealth of material to support learning and research. OPAC helps to guide the members to access these resources available in the centre. Digital Library helps to access all digital content and e-resources of the centre accessible on the campus wide network. It also supports e-learning to the students. The virtual reference desk will help the users for any queries and enquiries. Guidance and assistance is available from any member of Library staff.
Aims & Objectives of the Library
Rules & Regulations
- ID should be produced at the check point.
- No person shall write on, damage or make any mark on any book, journal or other material belongings to the library.
- Books should be handled with great care and mutilation of books in any manner will be heavily fined.
- Students can make exchange of the books for two weeks only and for the late returns a fine of Rs.2.00 Per book per day will be levied.
- A borrowed book if recalled by the Librarian has to be returned immediately.
- Maintain Q’s at circulation counter.
- Borrowers have to be reported immediately to the Librarian in writing.
- Loss of borrower who lost their books card has to report immediately to the Librarian in writing.
- Students/staff can suggest book/periodicals/magazine for inclusion in the library.
- All the students must return the books in the even/odd semester at the time of completion of university examinations and before the date announced librarian.
- Scanning and printout facilities are available. Reprographic services are made available in the campus.
- Eatables are strictly prohibited in the library.
- The Reader have to strictly maintain peace.
